Lecture on Indian Knowledge System at World University of Design

Rashmi Khanna was invited by the World University of Design to deliver a lecture for their student induction program, Immersive Inception 2024, on 5th August. The session titled ‘Natyam Narratives’ was attended by the new batch of undergraduate students and the faculty of all departments – from the School of Performing Arts to the School of Business.

This lecture was based on the Indian Knowledge System and its significance for holistic personality development through the medium of dance. The attendees learnt about the Indian Knowledge system and how it links with Theory of Multiple Intelligences by Dr Howard Gardener by developing the eight intelligences present in every one. Rashmi Khanna explained and elaborated on the concept with live demonstration, practical examples and audience interaction.

The lecture was highly appreciated by everyone present, providing the students with an insight to the Indian Knowledge System and its integration in Indian classical dance. Rashmi Khanna’s interactive and insightful lecture left a lasting impact on the fresh minds of the new batch.
